The 19-year-old from St Gallen lived up to her ranking as top seed at the tournament, coming back from one game down to lift the title 8-10, 9-6, 9-2, 9-5.

The win is Zehnder's biggest success to date and marks the best ever performance by a Swiss player on the women's circuit.

Zehnder first came to prominence in 1997 when she won the British under-17 open title.
