The home side, who leaked six goals at FC Zurich last weekend, managed to keep the scoreline respectable until half-time, going into the break 0-1 down to a goal by Artur Petrosian in the 31st minute.

However the floodgates opened in the second half, with Young Boys' Johan Berisha, Avraham Tikva and Joël Descloux all scoring. The result sent the Bern side rocketing up into first place in the table from sixth, one point clear of FC Zurich.
