Three detained on suspicion of planning attack
The Federal Prosecutor’s Office has detained three men suspected of planning a bomb attack against the Swiss subsidiary of a major international company.
The Prosecutor's Office said on Sunday that the men, two Italians and a Swiss living in Italy, were held on April 15 during a traffic control by canton Zurich police in Langnau am Albis.
Police found explosives and other items in their car that could have been used in an attack.
The Prosecutor's Office said that no other details could be given for the time being as inquiries were continuing.
It said it would not comment on a report in the SonntagsBlick newspaper which said the target was the IBM research centre in Rüschlikon, near Zurich.
