Switzerland and Jordan sign investment pact

Switzerland and Jordan have signed an agreement to promote and protect reciprocal investment.

The Swiss economics secretary, David Syz, and Jordan's minister for trade and industry, Wasif Azar, signed the deal on Monday in the Jordanian capital, Amman.

The main features of the agreement deal with the transfer of capital and investment revenues. The state secretariat for economic affairs said it should encourage investment in both countries.

Swiss exports to Jordan last year were valued at around SFr90 million ($53.5 million).
