Kaeslin took silver in the vault at London's O2 Arena on Saturday, behind Kayla Williams of the United States.

In April the 22-year-old from Lucerne had already made history by becoming the first Swiss woman to win a medal at the European championships, where she took one gold and one bronze.

A total of 437 gymnasts from 72 delegations were registered to take part in the 2009 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships as a whole. They run until October 18.
