Swiss defeat Luxembourg in football friendly
Switzerland have beaten Luxembourg 1-0 on Tuesday in a friendly match.

Granit Xhaka scored the only goal for the Swiss in the 9th minute.
Playing before a crowd of only 852 people in Luxembourg, the Swiss dominated play, but failed to create any more serious scoring chances until late in the match.
It was the first meeting between the two sides since September 2008 when low-ranked Luxembourg surprised the Swiss 2-1.
Both teams have failed to qualify for the 2012 European Championships. Switzerland finished third in Group G behind England and Montenegro, while Luxembourg ended last in Group D.
