Friday's draw at a ceremony in Monte Carlo pits FC Zurich against KRC Genk of Belgium, Lausanne Sports against Torpedo Moscow, and Basel against Norway's Brann Bergen.

The latter two Swiss teams qualified for the tournament after winning matches against Cork City and Folgore San Marino respectively, on Thursday.

For Basel, their stunning 7-0 win over the Italian side was the team's best ever UEFA Cup game result in a total of 36 such appearances. It is the first time in 20 years that Basel have managed a place in the main round of the tournament.

For Lausanne it will be the third time they have been included in the first round of the UEFA Cup line-up.

The matches take place on September 14 and 28.
