Snow woe continues

Poor snow conditions in the Swiss resort of St Moritz are causing further delays to the conclusion of the national skiing championships.

Having already been put back from Tuesday to Wednesday, the men's super-G race has now been postponed until next week because of an excessively soft piste.

Swiss-Ski officials are confident, however, that the women's super-G and giant slalom races in Arosa will go ahead as planned on Wednesday and Thursday.

Both the men's and the women's downhill races have already been cancelled following several failed attempts to overcome the current poor conditions.
