The Federal Health Office said on Monday that 25 new cases were confirmed over the weekend.

They were recorded in cantons Geneva, Bern, Lucerne, Vaud and Valais.

Officials said 301 people have been infected outside Switzerland and 93 inside Switzerland. The remaining 115 cases are under investigation.

The actual number of people infected with the A/H1N1 virus is higher than the number released by authorities, which reflects only the cases confirmed in laboratories.
