Swiss help provide new houses for Kosovo’s poorest

The Swiss are helping to fund new homes for more than 700 Roma Egyptians living in extreme poverty in the north Kosovan district of Gjakova. As well as housing the community, the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) is helping to improve education and boost the Roma’s chances of earning more money. Projects are implemented by the Swiss charity Caritas. (Julie Hunt in Kosovo, swissinfo.ch)
