Gustav Mahler. Symphony No. 7. Tonhalle Orchestra Zurich. David Zinman.

The Tonhalle Orchestra Zurich consists of just over 100 musicians and gives almost 100 concerts every season, featuring more than 50 different programmes. Guest performances in Switzerland, concert tours of the international musical centres, and especially numerous CD recordings under Chief Conductor David Zinman - including orchestral works by Richard Strauss, the Schumann symphonies and all of Beethoven's overtures and solo concertos - have successfully consolidated the orchestra's excellent reputation among audiences and critics alike.
