Reporters without Borders (RSF) Switzerland is organising a special photo exhibition of six Swiss war photographers in Geneva to promote its activities as well as freedom of information and expression.

Thomas Kern was born in Switzerland in 1965. Trained as a photographer in Zürich, he started working as a photojournalist in 1989. He was a founder of the Swiss photographers agency Lookat Photos in 1990. Thomas Kern has won twice a World Press Award and has been awarded several Swiss national scholarships. His work has been widely exhibited and it is represented in various collections.
The exhibition held at the Espace ExpoSIG at the Pont de la Machine in Geneva features images by photographers Didier Ruef (China), Meinrad Schade (Democratic Republic of the Congo), Christoph Bangert (Fukushima), Thomas Kern (Haïti), Reto Albertalli (Afghanistan) and Olivier Vogelsang (Libya).
The exhibition also features an animation film on cluster bombs in southern Lebanon produced by artist Patrick Chappatte. The exhibition runs until September 15.
