Erik Truffaz: In Between
Contemporary Jazz / Rock. Erik Truffaz was born and raised in France close to the Swiss border near Geneva. Not surprisingly he launched his career in French-Speaking Switzerland in the bands of local musicians there. 1997 he signed with the legendary Blue Note label and has gained international fame for his post-Miles Davis style ever since. Subsequently his old Swiss band mates have been involved on nearly all CDs and in most concert tours. In Between marks a chilling moment in Truffaz' vita. The sound has a floating lounge feel counterpointed by distorted hippie-like keyboard interjections. Two selections feature the capricious cult singer Sophie Hunger from Zurich.
