Net profits rose from SFr5.5 million to SFr32.6 million, the company said on Tuesday.

It attributed the growth to increased consumer and automotive demand, which continued in the second quarter of this year. Key markets - in Europe, Asia and the United States - also showed growth.

Micronas said it expected good annual results with total turnover forecast at SFr455 and a net profit of SFr55 million.
