Lugano go back to the top
Lugano have gone back to the top of Switzerland's first football division after beating championship contenders Basel 3-2.
The Ticinese side found themselves a goal down early in the game in Basel after Cameroonian striker Tchouga scored his eighth goal of the season.
However, two goals by Gimenez gave Lugano the lead before half-time and they held on to secure top spot ahead of a clutch of rivals.
Lausanne jumped from sixth to second place with a 2-0 win over bottom-placed FC Zurich.
In the other match played on Sunday, Grasshoppers Zurich only managed a 1-1 draw against Servette Geneva at the Hardturm stadium.
In Saturday's games, Aarau surprisingly beat Sion 1-0 away. It was Sion's first defeat in front of a home crowd this year. The Bulgarian, Ivanov, scored the only goal, after the goalkeeper, Borer, made a serious error.
St Gallen, who had been top, slipped up and fell back to fourth place. Lucerne beat lowly Yverdon 2-0 and were able to rise from the relegation zone to eighth place in the league table.
