This content was published on July 29, 2000 minutes

Luder was beaten only by the Norwegian world champion, Hanne Staff, who finished eight seconds ahead of the Bernese runner. Luder's second place finish comes just a week after she won two world cup events in Finland.

This weekend's competition was the biggest and most well-known orienteering race in Sweden, the homeland of the sport. More than 16,000 competitors took part this year.
