About 50 paintings and prints by Sarto will be on display at the foundation from November 17 to 26. The exhibition includes a number of still life, nude and landscape works - the latter featuring scenes of forests, the Lake Geneva shore and the Swiss countryside in winter.

Sarto has developed a unique technique giving the impression that one is looking at a moving picture.

His work is regularly exhibited at L'Entr'acte gallery in Lausanne and the gallery Benador in Geneva.

The Hermitage Foundation is housed in a 19th century villa in beautiful gardens above Lausanne, offering superb views over the city and Lake Geneva.

"Jawlensky in Switzerland 1914 - 1921" will be the next temporary exhibit at the foundation, running from January 26 to May 13. It brings together over 100 works by Alexei von Jawlensky and the artists he met while in Switzerland, including Ferdinand Hodler and Paul Klee.
