The exhibition at the Neuhaus museum offers a glance at a handbag belonging to Marilyn, a Garbo hat or a phone book that was used by the singer and actor, Frank Sinatra.

Also on display are several original movie posters, including "Citizen Cane" and "Gone with the Wind", as well as hand-signed photographs of Orson Welles, John Ford and Alfred Hitchcock.

The exhibits are part of a collection by the local film director and journalist, Mario Cortesi. They are normally on show at a hotel on the Spanish island of Ibiza.

The exhibition at the Neuhaus museum runs until January 14.
