Federer makes it to Swiss Indoors final
Roger Federer has reached the finals of the Swiss Indoors tennis tournament in Basel after beating Feliciano Lopez of Spain, 6-3, 6-2.
Federer will seek a third straight Swiss Indoors title in front of his home crowd on Sunday, in a match against David Nalbandian of Argentina.
The Swiss tennis star never looked in trouble against the 39th-ranked Lopez.
"I feel great and I'm playing better as the days go by," Federer said. "[Sunday] will come down to who gets off to the better start."
The second-seeded Nalbandian, the 2002 champion, beat Davis Cup teammate Juan Martin del Potro 6-4, 6-4 in the other semi-final match.
"Always, playing Roger is tough but it's good fun playing against him," said Nalbandian, who is 8-9 down against Federer.
