Federer knocked out of Indian Wells

Roger Federer met fresh disappointment in the Indian Wells tennis tournament in the US on Saturday, falling to Scottish tennis star Andy Murray in the semi-finals.

Murray, currently ranked number four in the world, defeated Federer – the world number two – in three sets, 6-3, 4-6, 6-1.

It was the fourth consecutive time that Murray had beaten Federer. In all the Scot has won six of the eight matches the two have played.

Murray will meet the world's top player, Rafael Nadal in the final on Sunday.
