Federer continues to sail through Wimbledon
Swiss tennis star Roger Federer has won his second round match against Spain's Guillermo Garcia-Lopez at the Wimbledon tennis tournament in England.
This content was published on June 24, 2009 - 20:21Federer lost only three points on his first serve and defeated Garcia-Lopez in straight sets, 6-2, 6-2, 6-4.
"The opponents are only going to get tougher. I'm playing great at the moment, and I hope it is going to last," he said on Wednesday.
Federer will face Germany's Philipp Kohlschreiber in the third round on Friday.
The world number two is bidding for his sixth Wimbledon championship and a record 15th major title overall.
Defending champion Rafael Nadal was forced to pull out due to a knee injury.
