Top seeded Federer eliminated his 16th seeded opponent in just three sets and 84 minutes: 6-3, 6-2, 6-3.

“My form is good, and finally my game fits, too. The opponents are getting stronger, but so am I,” said Federer after the Centre Court match.

In the quarterfinals, Federer will play either Tomas Berdych of the Czech Republic or Daniel Brands of Germany on Wednesday.

Federer hopes to win his seventh Wimbledon trophy and his second Grand Slam title this year.
