Ensemble Contrechamps. Works by Brian Ferneyhough (*1943), Hans Ulrich Lehmann (*1931), De-qing Wen (*1958), Xavier Dayer (*1972), Elliott Carter (*1908).
The Ensemble Contrechamps was founded in 1980, and has assigned itself the dual task of playing the repertoire of the 20th century, and of furthering the composition of new works. It gives a season of concerts in Geneva each year that inculdes numerous first performances and world premières. The artistic director of the Ensemble is Philippe Albèra.
