Small plane crash kills six
Six people were killed when a small aircraft crashed Saturday afternoon near a village in canton Fribourg. Local police spokeswoman Donatella Del Vecchio said no one survived the single-engine plane accident.
Residents of the village of Tatroz saw the aircraft circle twice above the hamlet before crashing in a field nearby.
Four bodies were found inside the aircraft, while two others were thrown out by the impact. There were four men and two women onboard.
The plane was flying from a small airport near Lausanne on Lake Geneva and was believed to be heading for an airstrip near Fribourg.
Police had no immediate information on the cause of the crash or the passengers’ identities.
