Swiss touch for French Huffington Post

The French version of news website the Huffington Post has been launched with Swiss journalist Paul Ackermann as editor-in-chief.

Ackermann is a former reporter for Swiss news magazine l’Hebdo, and was one of the initiators of the Bondy Blog in 2005.

He has also acted as editor of www.figaro.fr, the online platform of French daily paper Le Figaro and launched the interactive platform of www.20minutes.fr .

French journalist Anne Sinclair – also the wife of former International Monetary Fund director Dominique Strauss-Kahn – heads the publication as editorial director.

As with the English-language version of the site, huffingtonpost.fr is a mix of news, blogs and opinion articles written by a range of contributors. It has been launched in association with leading French daily newspaper Le Monde.
