Milk farming in the age of robots

In this era of mechanised Swiss agriculture, dairy farming is also going through changes. On some farms, milk production has even been mechanised completely, breaking radically with the traditional image of farming.

Milking machines are sometimes frowned upon. But this automated milking machine has advantages for both the farmer and the animal. swissinfo.ch visited the Cotting family on their farm in Ependes, canton Fribourg.
