This content was published on November 22, 2011
The exhibition “No one else has these colours” shows how German expressionist artist Ernst Ludwig Kirchner (1880-1938) chose his imagery and explores the artist's approach to colour richness and intensity. It also presents the first results of an ongoing research project on Kirchner’s paintings. Alongside 50 important works, X-rays and infrared photos provide insight into the depth of the paintings.
