Alcohol prevention campaign calls for dialogue
The Federal Health Office will launch its latest alcohol prevention campaign on Saturday, beginning a so-called dialogue week.
There will be more than 260 different activities, including driving simulations, sport and working in a bar. They will take place at 620 locations across the country such as hospitals and libraries as well as institutions for alcoholics.
The aim, according to the organisers, is to encourage a more widespread discussion about alcohol and its effects than would be possible with a classic campaign.
The dialogue week, which is also being held in Germany and Liechtenstein, is part of the national alcohol programme that ends next year. It focuses on making people aware of the benefits of reasonable alcohol consumption and taking responsibility for their own drinking habits.
